Peaceful, streamlined web browsing.

How it works:
QuietWeb uses on-device rules and smart content blocking to pause, mute, or remove media before it plays. Aggressive Mode takes it further, replacing every iframe with a one-click “Show once” card.

Permissions explained:

  • Host permissions: Needed to block media and iframes across all sites.

  • DeclarativeNetRequest: Used to block known video ad servers.

  • Storage: Saves your site preferences and stats locally.

Pin QuietWeb for 1-click calm

QuietWeb works best when it’s on your toolbar — that’s how you get instant access to:

  • 1-click toggle (Quiet ⇄ Aggressive)

  • Per-site pause/allow

  • Live “blocked” stats

How to pin in Chrome (desktop)

  1. Click the puzzle-piece Extensions button (top-right of Chrome).

Privacy:
QuietWeb does not collect, store, or transmit your browsing data. All blocking happens locally in your browser.
